Fog trap – or the irony of war. 900+ enemy personnel packed into shrouds by the Birds of the USF (Unmanned Systems Forces) in just a day and a half – across a 100 km stretch of the front (Rodynske – Huliaipole). A sharp weather shift on March 17–18 across three of the hottest sectors in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia directions (Dobropillia, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole sectors), combined with the enemy’s planned – and somewhat overheated – launch of its spring–summer campaign, pushed them to resume assault operations under the cover of long-awaited bad weather. The bet on invisibility, according to old army playbooks, should have worked… Just before zero hour, the first pre-infiltrated assault groups – sitting in reserve – began moving under drizzle and ran straight into a drone backfire. Well over a hundred bodies were laid face down by the Birds of the USF before midnight. At dawn on March 17, the enemy pushed forward with accumulated infantry, motorcycles, armored vehicles – even horses – simultaneously across roughly ten sectors. More than 500 of them (292–200 and 221–300) were taken out by the Birds of the USF during March 17 and paid for it with either irreversible or sanitary losses.
