UConn will 2 guys to its frontcourt rotation, they aren’t done there. Hurley does not play centers huge minutes, he wants a solid split when possible. Last 4 years: Sanogo: 26.5/Clingan 13.1 Clingan: 22.5/Johnson: 16.0 Reed: 19.9/Johnson: 19.4 Reed: 27.3/Reibe: 13.8

If we get Hines, I think we still need a 7+ footer to pair with him. Similar to that Sanogo / Clingan tandem. No idea how realistic that is these days with the price of centers, but a man can dream.

@cthoops2 Royal seems to overlay with a lot of what Stewart does & to some degree Ross. He seems too small for the 4 so really just ends up in a log jam at the 3. If Stewart were to leave then sure but would love to try and keep him first. Let’s focus on a PF, C, back up C, back up PG.

@Brian_Magna Reed was just returning from injury and was likely on a minutes restriction. It was Mullins first game of the year coming back from injury. Both were riding the bike when they were out of the game.

How is nobody talking about the UConn vs Illinois game where the Huskies won by 13 on November 28th while Reed was in foul trouble with 2 points in 15 min, Silas was in foul trouble and only played 20 min, and Mullins played just 10 minutes?

Jayden Ross is shooting 40% from 3. He plays very good defense & brings much needed athleticism for UConn. He moves the ball & plays with energy. He’s earned more minutes, & those minutes should come from Solo who plays awful defense & is too inefficient from 3 yet keeps chucking

@LockedOnUConn @UConnMBB Yes. I think we need to stagger Solo and Mullins so they’re not on the court together as often. Would like to see one of Ross or Stewart on the floor at all times, preferably Ross. If there’s a certain matchup that allows for Solo and Mullins to play together fine.

UConn was up 6 with 15:08 to go. From that point on until Demary hit an and-1 layup with 1:40 to go, non-Mullins Huskies were 1/12 from the floor and 0/1 (missed front end of 1&1) at the FT line.

Keeping a close eye on the Bryce Hopkins/Zuby Ejiofor combo up front. Hopkins is nearly impossible to defend when he catches the ball on either block. Reminds me of some of the high-low combos that Bill Self has had over the years at Kansas.
