I'm aware of that. Offense is already good. Offense is not the main issue. Defense is the issue. Yes, they had a lot of injuries but they haven't really had a good defense when everyone is healthy and they lost a couple of key players. Vikings also had a ton of injuries last year and worst QB in the league. Also played a similar schedule to the Lions. Still finished ahead of the Lions and also did more in the offseason to improve. I'm not saying the Vikings are winning the division but I don't see how the Lions jump all the way up to #1 without any major changes. And you're assuming Petzing is an upgrade but he has never put together better than a middling offense to this point. And I remember all the Lions fans telling me how much of a great offensive mind Dan Campbell was and the Ben Johnson leaving didn't mean anything...😂

Does not seem logical to me. Finished last, last year. Lost three of their best defensive players on a defense that wasn't good already. Made basically no meaningful moves to improve the defense via Free Agency. The only possible meaningful addition was a 2nd rd pick. Meanwhile the Vikings have upgraded at QB & IDL. Packers were better, but didn't really do much in free agency and didn't have a 1st rd pick but were better than the Lions already. Bears were better. So they're telling us a team that got strictly worse from a roster point of view is going from worst to first? Vikings look like the best value on that list.
