Como presidenta del @senadomexicano hago un extrañamiento ante la declaración de “persona non grata” que el Congreso de Perú emitió contra la presidenta @ClaudiaShein. Rechazamos que el gobierno de México haya realizado acciones de intervención en los asuntos del Perú. La concesión de asilo político a Betssy Betzabet Chávez Chino, fue un acto de humanismo, fundado en los tratados internacionales y multilaterales como la Convención sobre Asilo Territorial de la Organización de los Estados Americanos. Esta presidencia respalda absolutamente a la titular del Ejecutivo Federal y apela a favorecer el diálogo y la cooperación para alcanzar una relación amistosa entre nuestros pueblos.

Recibí en Palacio Nacional a Guido Croxatto, abogado del presidente Pedro Castillo, injustamente encarcelado en el Perú. En nombre de México, expreso mi más profunda solidaridad con él y su familia, porque sabemos que su situación no sólo es un caso personal, sino un grave precedente de persecución política y discriminación en nuestra región. La Organización de las Naciones Unidas debe actuar con decisión para garantizar el respeto a los derechos humanos y la justicia. La libertad de Pedro Castillo es también la defensa de la democracia y de la dignidad de nuestros pueblos.
