Thanks a lot @cnag_eu for this collaboration in sequencing these four species from Montseny and Peguera (Berguedà). The annotated genomes are critical to understand mechanisms of adaptation and anticipate responses to climate warming. Funded by @iec, @CatBiogenoma. @IRBioUB

The number of species and their distribution is comparable to the records in 2007-2008, but the current concern is to preserve the habitat in front of grazing

A new study by Orta-Martínez et al. shows that the global atlas of unburnable oil shows that the most socio-environmentally sensitive areas need to be kept entirely off-limits to oil extraction in order to keep global warming under 1.5°C.
