Terrorist incidents have noticeably decreased, indicating improved security on the ground. At the same time, growing diplomatic and economic pressure on the TTA regime is reflected in their shifting tone, moving from aggressive rhetoric to a more cautious and apologetic stance, as seen in recent statements by Mutaqi.
That said, Pakistan should remain vigilant. Rather than relying solely on words, it must continue to strengthen its strategy and maintain pressure. Given past experiences, trust should be built on actions, not promises.
If the Afghan side is genuinely serious this time, then it must prove it through concrete steps because real commitment is shown through actions, not just statements.

Is Pakistan effort is making a de facto buffer zone with Afghanistan?
The situation along the Afpak Durand line is becoming increasingly alarming. shelling is forcing Afghan civilians to flee their homes, with nearly 100,000 people already displaced.
Many believe this is part of the Pakistan strategy to push communities and Afghanistan forces forces away from Durandline areas and create a de facto buffer zone. Homes destroyed, livelihoods lost, and lives uprooted.
There is certainly a broader plan in the mind of Pakistan military strategists , isn’t?
