Hi @ChackLab my 6yo son is researching Pasteur and as part of his project he needs to interview a current scientist. We'd love to speak with anybody in the lab possibly a #virologist or a #microbiologist for a short tele-interview to show his class.
Thanks for any help!

@Lawreate7 @AzzaIdris_1 Really nice contribution to the field - congrats!

Very pleased to share our comprehensive review on monoclonal antibodies against circumsporozoite protein and how this emerging tool might aid global efforts to control malaria, published today in Nature Immunology!
@AzzaIdris_1, we did it! :)

@JennyRohn @CarlosEBFlores Haha, that’s funny. One of our papers was covered in the daily mail and the article was next to a ‘story’ about clip-on man buns.

@ENirenberg Thanks for the shout out on our study. We see this strategy as particularly useful in resource-poor settings where current PCSK9 inhibitors are prohibitively expensive.

This is a really cool idea. It would be so awesome if people could just make their own antibodies to PCSK9 instead of needing regular infusions or daily medication.

Our most recent publication in npj vaccines (@Nature_NPJ) describes a vaccine against PCSK9 that lowers LDL cholesterol levels in mice and non-human primates nature.com/articles/s4154…

Our newest preprint describes our continuing efforts to develop a vaccine targeting PCSK9 that lowers LDL cholesterol. Kudos to first author @AlexmFowler and thanks to our many collaborators, including Alan Remaley at @nih_nhlbi and @KoenVanRompay @CNPRCresearch

Check out the latest paper from Dr. Lucie Jelinkova, a former graduate student in the lab. Lucie looked at the how maternal antibodies in newborn mice affect antibody responses to a VLP-based malaria vaccine. Interesting data and real-world implications! mdpi.com/2218-273X/13/2…

This was in collaboration with @FrietzeLab, @bradfutelab, @LizzieCClarke, & Dave Peabody and others @UNMHSC & with Juan Pascale at the #Gorgas Memorial Institute in Panama.

Happy to share @AlexmFowler's 2nd first author publication from our laboratory. Alex mapped epitopes targeted by human antibody responses to Zika Virus infection. authors.elsevier.com/a/1gODU9j6wlNdG

We were talking about viral infection of pets today in Virology Journal Club. Seemed like a good opportunity to plug @JennyRohn 's book Cat Zero. amazon.com/Cat-Zero-Jenni…

Do I even know 8 other faculty members who got their PhDs from University of New Mexico? @AnitaQuintana20 @PamLovesScience … who else?

@planetmoney I'd ban all cars with action verb names. I'm looking at you Ford FOCUS!

In Turkmenistan, there’s a list of rules about what kinds of cars you can import:
- No sports cars are allowed
- Vehicles can’t be older than 5 years
- And they have to be white (or maybe silver)
If you could, what restrictions on cars would you impose?
