What to watch:
The gap between "Confirmed" and "Finalized" under the current Solana consensus those are separate commitment levels.
Under Alpenglow, confirmed and finalized collapse into a single step. When you see that gap go to zero, that's Alpenglow working as designed.

The dashboard tracks it in real time: slot progression, TPS, commitment levels, finalization lag, and which validators are leading at any given moment.

Solana's Alpenglow community cluster is live.
Alpenglow (SIMD-0326) is the proposal that replaces Solana's current consensus mechanism (Tower BFT and TurboVote) with a new design that targets ~150ms finality, down from ~12 seconds today.
