Aerospace engineering has just proposed a fundamentally different answer to how objects move through the vacuum of space. For decades, traditional rockets have been severely limited by the massive amounts of explosive chemical propellant required for propulsion—the heavier the payload, the more fuel needed. Now, newly developed electromagnetic plasma engines are breaking that cycle entirely. By accelerating ionized plasma through powerful electromagnetic fields, this innovative system generates clean, continuous thrust without relying on traditional combustion, heavy fuel tanks, or a single moving mechanical part. This incredible technological breakthrough means future deep-space exploration missions will become drastically leaner, lighter, and capable of traveling exponentially further without being tied to a restrictive fuel ceiling.

JORDAN PETERSON’S DAUGHTER GIVES "FINAL" UPDATE ABOUT HER DAD Mikhaila Peterson says her father is dealing with what she describes as a severe, nearly impossible to treat psych-med-induced neurological condition linked to akathisia. She said his symptoms began after a flare-up tied to mold exposure, stress, and later complications from pneumonia and sepsis. "I don’t plan on making another update about my dad, it stresses my family out, and myself, and there’s nothing more to say about it until things get better. Prayers are appreciated still."

Kelp is to blame for running a 1/1 signer setup to prove transactions. However, the 1/1 signer was Layerzero themselves. Layerzeros node got compromised. This exploit is as much Layerzeros fault as it is Kelps. And Aave is to blame too for curating this asset / not having an emergency brake when the borrowing occured. Also; didn't they just brag about how good they are at curating when the Resolv hack happened?

🚨JUST IN: LAYERZERO BLAMES KELPDAO SETUP FOR $290M HACK LayerZero Labs says the exploit stemmed from KelpDAO’s use of a single-verifier setup it had warned against, shifting responsibility away from its own protocol. The attack is linked to Lazarus Group, targeted RPC infrastructure and forced a failover to compromised nodes, enabling a fake transaction without exploiting smart contracts.
Coin Bureau@coinbureau

🚨$292M DRAINED, BIGGEST EXPLOIT IN 2026 An attacker drained 116,500 rsETH (18% of supply) from Kelp DAO’s LayerZero-powered bridge, marking 2026’s largest crypto exploit so far. Emergency freezes were triggered across Aave, SparkLend, Fluid, and Upshift as wrapped ether became stranded across 20 chains.

Those who say "crypto is dead" or "DeFi is dead" don't know what they are talking about. Banks never operated in such harsh conditions, and they always get saved by the Big Printer. As a result, their infra is horrifically bad. In DeFi, we have to make sure that our stuff is solid, and only the fittest survives

@JKim_Tran @banteg the fuck youre on about? kelp only used one dvn, it was layerzeros official dvn ran by the layerzero team. the default dvn architecture is made up of 5 "independent" validators, the hackers hacked 2 of those validators and ddossed the 3 others

layerzero attack was not rpc poisoning in networking poisoning is when the attacker outside the trust boundary taints a shared lookup (dns, arp, cache). the consumer has no reason to distrust the source. this was not that. the attackers got inside layerzero's trust boundary. they accessed the rpc list, compromised two nodes the dvn depended on, and swapped the op-geth binaries. that's an infra breach within the perimeter. supply-chain shaped, not network shaped. and the payload was surgical. the malicious binary cloaked by ip, served forged payload only to the dvn, told the truth to scan and every other caller, then self-destructed to wipe logs and binaries. rpc poisoning makes it sound like something that happened to the infra from the outside. the real story is a targeted implant operating inside the trust boundary. that's a meaningfully scarier attack than the label suggests.

$292M gone because Kelp DAO trusted a forged cross-chain message. Chainlink CCIP uses decentralized oracle networks to validate every message, no single point of trust, no forged instructions. what I know so far on the exploit: • LayerZero protocol still works as intended • Exploit was isolated to kelp, most likely because it had the most tvl out of all being secured by just the LayerZero DVN • The DVN has a 2/3 quorum which was reached despite no source chain transaction I’ll cover the news until we have full official clarity

the kelp rsETH post-mortem is wild lazarus (dprk) compromised two rpc nodes that layerzero dvn was relying on. swapped the op-geth binaries. wrote a custom payload that forged messages *only when the dvn queried* - every other IP, including monitoring, saw clean truthful data. then they DDoS'd the healthy RPCs to force failover onto the poisoned ones. drained $290M. self-destructed the malicious binaries to erase tracks. they targeted rsETH because kelp ran a 1-of-1 DVN config with layerzero as sole verifier
