@afcb_r0b @cjp1970 Great analysis Rob - Sadly impacting the long term imo. Great if you’re part of the PL now but future players getting opportunities will continue to diminish. Not sure how to combat it though - as you say, a regulator strength is needed

@cjp1970 I have to admit it took me by surprise. It is a bizarre (and slightly sad?) situation. As the PL gets more competitive and the performance between Big6 and the rest shrinks, it gets harder for anyone to enter and consolidate in the league. One for the Regulator!

It is all done for another year. A pretty decent year for the Stanpit Massive on the football and ice hockey fronts, just Notts CC to do the business now. But the spreadsheets are alive and so here is my take on the PL this time around. 1/6

@StanCollymore That’s why Arsenal don’t win the league. They need to manufacture things rather than constantly create them. Shame as I would have liked them to win the league.

TNT have Havertz on, asked him about the penalty and he says "I felt the contact" as it's been replayed showing he leaves his foot to slide on the ground to ensure contact. Firstly, nowhere in the laws does contact equal a foul. Secondly, Cole bottled it and said it was a pen. Presenter said "ensured contact" instead of asking a direct question. When there's such lightweight accountability or questioning, especially when a player is standing there, then no wonder authorities let these things slide. It was a dive. Contact was sought, and in any SANE sport, this is simulation and a yellow card. We start giving those cards means fewer dive, fewer contentious decisions, less controversy, less pressure on refs. Woeful broadcasting.

@ChalkusofBAC @kcb49 Not part of specific allowances. In the case of Max’s loans, £71m were written off which turned a £27m loss into profit. After the QPR case the benefit of write offs are discounted from the PSR calculation.

@afcb_r0b @kcb49 All good analysis Rob - thanks for sharing. I’m not close to FFP, but do you know if ‘donations’ are received, is that accepted in the calculation? Potentially required prior to the year end date. Seems easy, but is in essence what Max did with us.

@kcb49 Sooner or later it will be inevitable. It will be interesting to see how the intra-group trading if players progresses. That may help a little.

This man came in when we were odds on favourite to be relegated, Mourinho didn’t want to know. In the space of 18 months he got us to our first cup final in over 20 years.
