@KurtSchlichter On a tactical front it would be smart for the Chinese to attack because we have used up much of our munitions.

Thoughts on space aliens visiting Earth. They probably already have been here. They have much Superior technology. Nothing would change and if it did we would fight them if it came to that. From a religious standpoint nobody knows what they know about that, nothing changes.

Savannah Guthrie regretfully says in this new video released for Easter, following her mom Nancy’s disappearance, she feels “deep disappointment with God.” She says, “I have questioned if Jesus really ever experienced this particular wound that I feel… I have stumbled upon a feeling that Jesus did not know.” God acts with purpose in all things. What Savannah is experiencing is part of a divine plan. She is being tested. As for her questioning of Jesus Christ, many argue that he demonstrated omniscience. Savannah is displaying doubt when she needs to be embracing faith. Pray that she soon finds her faith and also sees her mom again soon. (TMZ on web)

@SenWarren That's not the role of the federal government, some of it is State responsibility. The federal government's job is to create a fair and equitable economic market so that everybody can have economic success.

Jeff Bezos has $222 billion. If he paid my wealth tax this year, we could fund insulin in America for everyone who needs it plus free school lunch for every kid in Texas—and have plenty of money left over. And Bezos would still have $215 billion dollars to spare.

To the Commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC): Today, few doubt that little remains of the Velayat-e Faqih dictatorship but a half-dead body. As a result of five decades of warmongering and crimes, you are the real decision-makers of this collapsing system. Your misguided regional policies and apocalyptic madness have brought the theater of war to Iran. Because you used it not for our people but instead militarized it, our country’s economic infrastructure is now in the crosshairs of two powers that have been roaming Iran’s skies for weeks. This infrastructure was built with the national wealth of Iran and is vital for the country’s reconstruction. The corrupt regime of the Islamic Republic is on its way out. Your choice is not between survival and collapse; it is about how you collapse. The end of the current path is the delivery of a scorched earth to the Iranian nation following your inevitable downfall. For the sake of Iran, for yourselves, and for your children, abandon this adventurism and warmongering. Do not leave Iran more bloodstained and wounded than it already is. Allow the country’s infrastructure to be preserved for the Iranian nation. Stop your crimes. Step down from power.

@ianmiles Europe is run by committee and therefore worthless. Just ask Elon Musk.

The C-130s didn't crash and they were not shot down. They landed them and they got stuck in the sand so they blew it up because America isn't poor and can afford to send more planes. It's why they ordered so many of them in the first place. It's an insurance plan, a contingency for situations just like this. This is literally how rich people do things and it's why they're able to spend hundreds of millions of dollars rescuing a pilot who cost a fraction of the cost to train. It's why rich people succeed while broke bitches moan about the cost. It's worth it because the moral victory is worth it and you can't put a price on that anyway. Europeans, who are cheap, broke, and arrogant, would never get it.

@emzanotti @rookisaacman The problem with NASA and governments in general is they are run by committee. Elon musk has shown that you need a strong point of leadership to be successful. No committees and you're fired if you don't meet expectations.

The politics of @rookisaacman eventual confirmation is a really interesting untold story. The White House withdrew Isaacman’s nomination after committee, despite backing him and his ambitious restructuring and refocusing plan for NASA, and instead of accepting defeat and going home, Isaacman advocated for himself at the highest levels, not just earning a second bite at the apple, but likely keeping NASA from being folded into the Department of Transportation. The day he was sworn in was the same day the Admin issued the proclamation declaring we’d return to the moon by 2028.
Tom Harwood@tomhfh

Picking Jared Isaacman as NASA administrator might well end up long run being seen as one of the most consequential decisions of Trump's presidency. It's not often a single man can deliver a turning point in history. But I really think Isaacman has with US state spaceflight.

Europeans care more about how much those planes cost than rescuing the pilot. They also care more about how much each Patriot missile costs over every life saved by using them on an Iranian drone. Europeans are poor and do not value human life.

This is the part that keeps getting buried under the raw numbers. Hegseth spent months pressuring Army Secretary Dan Driscoll to remove four decorated colonels from the one-star promotion list. Two Black men. Two women. Driscoll refused, because their records demanded it. So Hegseth pulled their names himself… which legal experts say he likely had no authority to do. The defense secretary is supposed to approve or reject the entire list, precisely to prevent this kind of targeted discrimination. Then Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George - the Army’s top officer - asked to meet with Hegseth to discuss the blocked promotions. Hegseth refused to meet. Refused to discuss his decisions at all. Then he fired George. Whose term wasn’t supposed to end until September 2027. Nine U.S. officials across all four branches confirmed the NBC reporting. “There is not a single service that has been immune,” one said. The officers’ attributes being cited for removal include past support for Covid vaccine mandates… and association with Mark Milley. The Pentagon’s response to every outlet that asked: “fake news.” They didn’t dispute a single name.

I agree with renowned historian Timothy Snyder. Trump is going to stage a coup. As Snyder explains, Trump's proposed 50% defense budget increase should be seen as nothing short of a bribe to secure military loyalty for a coup attempt — and that a staged domestic terror attack is Trump's best remaining path to nullifying elections. Pete Hegseth's recent firing of Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George is more evidence that the fascist authoritarian Trump regime is more interested in loyalty than competence. If the 79-year-old pedophile psychopath is to succeed in conning the US Armed Forces into supporting him in overthrowing American democracy and the constitution, his only chance is to have quislings and sycophants throughout the top brass in the military.

@BasedMikeLee This is blatantly not true. Ethanol cost more per gallon than gasoline. You must also take into account the corn subsidies pay to the farmers. We need to go back to 100% gas for various reasons. Number one being cheaper.

According to a senior administration official: Prior to locating the WSO (Weapons System Officer) and the US military’s daring rescue, the CIA first launched a deception campaign spreading word inside Iran that U.S. forces had already found him and were moving him on the ground for exfiltration out of the country. While the Iranians were confused and uncertain of what was happening, the Agency used its unique, exquisite capabilities to search for -- and find -- the American airman. This was the ultimate "needle in a haystack," but in this case it was a brave American soul inside a mountain crevice, invisible but for CIA's capabilities. The CIA immediately shared the WSO’s exact location with the Pentagon and The White House. The President ordered an immediate rescue mission, which CENTCOM executed with boldness and precision, with CIA continuing to provide real time information.
