@LukeHomer8 I agree this would be a practical excursion for students to investigate and plan for community problem-solving. There is a genuine need for this issue to be solved in our community and it would benefit students to see just how much plastic is washed up on our beaches.

Building on Zak's ideas, students can create compost bottles to learn how composting works on a small scale. I also like the idea of building a greenhouse out of recycled plastic bottles (pictured below)🌱
