We simply picked up where the last conversation had ended, as though the days between were only commas. A breeze caught a loose strand of your hair. Without thinking, I tucked it gently behind your ear. You looked at me. Neither of us spoke. Some moments ask to be explained. Some ask only to be trusted. Love, I realised, had quietly taught me something I had never learnt before. Not how to wait. How to be patient enough to understand another person's fears, insecurities, hopes, and all the quiet emotions love arrives carrying. You smiled. Then, without a word, your hand found mine again. We started walking. The rain never came. Somehow, neither of us missed it.
