@EvolvedBiofilm Hi Akos, the urease activity hasn’t been tested. The Devosia ZB163 was cultured on nitrogen free medium. I did not observe the growth of ZB163 on that medium.

Just a minor question: has Devosia ZB163 been tested for urease activity and, as control, on nitrogen fixation plates?

(3/3) We isolated 144 bacteria, including Devosia sp. ZB163 from mycorrhiza-rich hyphae samples. We show that this AM-associated bacterium synergistically acts with mycorrhiza on the plant root to strongly promote plant growth, nitrogen uptake, and mycorrhization.

Our new paper demonstrates that arable farming leads to biotic homogenisation of belowground fungal communities across Europe. Also, in arable fields there are less rare fungi compared to grassland. nature.com/articles/s4146… @sbanerjee2018; +our very nice digging deep consortium
