Great initiative by #GreatmanMusic. RETWEET and help him reach as many people as possible! You know what, my people? A retweet costs you nothing. And when you see somebody who is disabled, like Great Man, pushing this initiative, it should shame us who are able-bodied that we are not able to assist those who are disabled. The least we can do is to RETWEET so that those who have the heart to help can actually support this cause. So I ask you again, please RETWEET this initiative that Great Man, who is disabled, has started to assist people like him who are disabled. It costs you nothing at all as a Zimbabwean or an African to simply RETWEET, or as any other nationality.

Anywho, since this is taking off, please take a second to support the work I do for the kids in my community. We are working on recovering from someone stealing and destroying almost everything.

We have to start all over and I need all the help I can get. gofund.me/95feb8a8 paypal.me/LittleMissFlin… Cashapp: $LittleMissFlint And yes it was insured but the insurance company is only covering up to $5k and is giving us the biggest run around. We have already switched companies.

Show and tell 6 years ago today. He brought black engineers that worked for Tesla to meet the kids in Flint because seeing diversity was important back then. So much has changed since then.

Not just any river. Kafue River is the longest tributary of the Zambezi which flows through 6 African countries! So 50 million liters of acid waste has been dumped into Southern Africa! Foreign mining companies continue to kill us with the consent of corrupt African governments!

Econet Zimbabwe remains silent after a massive data breach exposed the personal information of over 800,000 customers, now reportedly being sold on the dark web. Instead of issuing a statement and warning users about potential scams, the company has yet to respond. Meanwhile, many Econet users are receiving WhatsApp messages from unknown numbers, including some from Nigeria and India. Even after blocking one number, scammers quickly contact them from another. Econet’s lack of action raises serious concerns about its commitment to customer security. @econetzimbabwe @EcoCashZW

Each time I read tweets like the one attached, I am engulfed by painful embarrassment. Ian Smith came into power in 1964. Let us debunk the lies being peddled about what he did. Every major piece of infrastructure in Rhodesia had already been built before his time. Lake Kariba was completed in 1959, all central hospitals were constructed in the 1950s, before Smith took office. Harare and Parirenyatwa hospitals were built in 1958, Mpilo in 1957, Ingutsheni hospital in 1908, and UBH in 1937. ZISCO was established in 1942 and began operations in 1948. Lake Chivero was built in 1952. The University of Rhodesia, now the University of Zimbabwe, was established in 1952. The railway network was developed significantly before Smith’s time. The Rhodesian Railways system was established in the late 19th and early 20th centuries before Smith came to power. The iconic Victoria Falls Bridge was built and completed in 1905. Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport (formerly Salisbury Airport) was established as an international airport in the early 1950s. Major cities like Salisbury (Harare), Bulawayo, and Umtali (Mutare) were developed with modern amenities, roads, and public services before Smith came to power. So what exclusive infrastructure are you referring to that was built by Smith? But because our people are too lazy to read, they peddle lies when they could easily cure that ignorance through reading. The only humanely decent colonial Prime Minister that Rhodesia had was Garfield Todd. This is well documented in history books for those who bother to read them. Smith simply maintained infrastructure. Unless if you are celebrating him for maintaining what had already been built before his time in office and starting the war, there is no basis for such claims. Ian Smith plunged Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) into a civil war following his Unilateral Declaration of Independence in November 1965, and the country was devastated by that bloody war. Is that what you are celebrating? He killed around 8,000 Black Zimbabweans in one day in what is known as the Chimoio massacre, part of Operation Dingo. He killed around 1,100 Black Zimbabweans at Nyadzonya in one day. The dead included old people, women and young children who had fled from Rhodesia as refugees. According to Amnesty International it was "a gross human rights violation and a war crime. Smith created Robert Mugabe and his thugs who went on to loot the country. Without Smith’s intransigence and narcissism, Zimbabwe would not have endured a war, and Mugabe would not have led either the country or ZANU as it was known then. The leadership would likely have gone to Ndabaningi Sithole or Joshua Nkomo, not Mugabe. The claims that Ian Smith was great are so embarrassing if you consider that Ian Smith’s own son, Alec, disowned his racist rule polices! But our people who are making these silly arguments don’t read, that is why they are spreading nonsensical narratives devoid of the real facts. Ian Smith of Rhodesia was not a nice man, not at all! Garfield Todd was a more progressive colonial leader who was Prime Minister from 1953 to 1958, he pushed for reforms that favoured racial integration and expanded education for Africans, though he faced resistance from white settlers and was eventually ousted by racist radicals like Ian Smith who didn’t want to invest in the education of Black Zimbabweans. Smith did not spearhead any significant new infrastructure projects but maintained what was already in place. Celebrating him for this is an oversimplification that ignores the broader consequences of his policies, including economic sanctions, international isolation, and war. A nuanced understanding of our history requires reading reliable history sources, rather than perpetuating myths or narratives based on ignorance. We can learn a lot from colonial rule, but let us not create lies to romanticise Smith’s racist rule. That doesn’t give ZANUPF a pass, it has destroyed Zim.
Ungwe@ultrazimpatriot

@Mahumbwe1 You can’t compare Smith to any post-independence leaders. There is no contest. Smith was a great leader and built the nation. We are still using hospitals, power stations, water and sewer infrastructure left by Smith. Had he not built all these, we would be just a rural nation.

Per usual, I see a lot of people say “free Congo” as an add on to being called out for only caring about one cause at a time, but there’s rarely any information being shared about what’s happening in the DRC. so I will attempt to coherently explain (a 🧵):

Harrison's outfits would be improved if he stuck to more traditional cuts and conservative fabrics. If he wants to venture further, he should choose a skilled tailor with good taste and not open his mouth. The less he inserts himself in the process, the better.

People keep asking me to comment on Harrison Butker's clothes, as he seems to be a clotheshorse. Some note that his clothes look "off." In almost every instance, it's because his clothes are too small. I will demonstrate. 🧵
