Behrooz Ghamari-Tabrizi and Spencer Ackerman respond to Trump's primetime address on the war on Iran last night. "He structured his speech around lies and delusions, I think, and he did not add anything new," says Ghamari-Tabrizi. Notably, the president did not share details of the U.S.'s military escalation in the Middle East. "He is trying to, as he has frequently throughout this conflict, send a message that this is not a 'forever war,'" says Ackerman.

The person who is supposed to represent this country and all that we are.. says dumb shit like this?? The Trump admin took Venezuelan oil and then crippled Iran's 🇮🇷 Oil. Coincidence, no? Never and I mean NEVER was this about helping anyone except those lining their pockets and avoiding the Epstein fiasco. The government's of the US and Israel have one goal, remove anyone from the board who is calling them on their shit...being a fucking bully.

Joe is right. But the problem is most of our elected leaders are bought and paid for by Israel so they won’t restrain them.

Lies, misinformation amd attempt to create a sense of victory without actually having done so. A lot of repetition in old info or misleading info. There are no timeliness or real guidelines. No proof whatsoever in thr accusations. Israeli govt dropped the ball in writing his speech.

I didn’t watch Trump’s speech because I was having dinner with my daughter. For those who did watch, what was your main takeaway?

Trump had to give the speech of his life to sell this extremely unpopular war. He failed terribly. Slurred his speech, sounded punch drunk, weak and incompetent. Totally unconvincing.

The problem is that nothing that he is saying has been backed up by fax or real intelligence that says that Iran was about to acquire and launch a nuclear weapon. And nothing that he is saying about the economy rings true for families who cannot make ends meet. Operation epic fury tonight is operation Epic fail.

I wanted so much for President Trump to put America First. That’s what I believed he would do. All I heard from his speech tonight was WAR WAR WAR. Nothing to lower the cost of living for Americans. Nothing to reduce our near $40 trillion in debt. Nothing to save Social Security, which goes bankrupt in just a few years. Nothing to lower the cost of insurance. Nothing to address jobs for Americans. Nothing about education for our children. Nothing about our children’s future. Nothing for America’s future. I’m so beyond done. I pray for our military and their families. I pray for innocent people all over the world. I pray for peace and prosperity for all.
