@Scott_Damman 100% Scott. Without you and DalCin I wouldn't have gone down what's been a 15-year journey into VBT. My goal was to build the product I wanted in the gym. In the end I could not fully achieve my goal due to things beyond my control. It's been a rather tough pill to swallow for me

I know many are ticked off about the Push phase-out annoucement, and I have my experiences/opinions as to how Push operated on the ethics side as a stand alone company. What I will say, Christopher Chapman was always stand-up, and we share what I think is a mutual respect.

@Scott_Damman @EricRenaghan @JoeD_Strength @MuscleLabSystem This was instrumental in my progression of VBT/speed/power zones. It was the first time load-velocity-power profiling was automatically built into an end-user product, ahead of its time. We modeled PUSH Assist reco engine after this. Thankful for your influence in my early days!

@EricRenaghan @JoeD_Strength @MuscleLabSystem The Myotest S4P (speed for power) of 2010 was a turn-key power profile + adaptation zones, self-contained hardware product. It was methodology with hardware. Pioneering product. @ChappyStrength was one of the orignal users of S4P with Chris Dalcin at Canada Sport Ontario.

As a precursor to my Force Velocity Profiling thread, I’d like to share some background of what I established when learning about it for my dissertation. Over the course of history, researchers have been trying to quantify the FV relationship and establish a profile.

This project started based on @ChappyStrength’s thesis work and we ran with it to explore an important methods-related question. In summary, our data suggests normalizing: 🔵 sagittal knee NJM with mass*height or mass*leg length 🔵 frontal knee NJM with height or leg length

@da_manning @trainwithPUSH Hey @da_manning, Real-time feedback is a setting in the band connection screen (band logo top right). One iPad is turned on, one is off. Likely hit by mistake since you can change on the fly for a single user in the app, but it is set for your whole team in the portal software.

Hey @trainwithPUSH was wondering why there are 2 different dashboard set-ups for the same exercise on 2 different IPads 1 gives you instant feedback & the other waits to show u @ the end of the set, would much prefer the former!! Any suggestions on how to fix?

@trainwithPUSH can your push pro system be used for two people working out together? Can you share the bar sensor? Where you in Toronto?

@GregLehman @trainwithPUSH Now this might be the only Twitter debate I can get behind these days 😂. Woodbine, kew, balmy, silverbirch. All signs would point to plurality.

After 4.5 years of hard work and toil it’s done, PhD submitted 😁. Every day was a rollercoaster between imposter syndrome, discovery, learning, pride, competence and back to imposter syndrome again. Loved every minute! #phdlife #OnwardsAndUpwards

@McAuslanPerform @jbryanmann @jdcford There is a lot more research in visual perception of joint and body kinematics, most of the refs in those papers above will lead you down the path. Also some research in the visual perception of throwing speed in baseball/javelin.

@McAuslanPerform @jbryanmann @jdcford That's why I laugh when people get so rattled about technology measurement minutia because nearly all of it far outperforms visual observation. We did some of this work at U Toronto biomech lab and it's pretty wild when you realize how much error occurs in visual interpretation.

@jbryanmann Hi Coach, I am searching for a paper related to the accuracy (or lack thereof) of the "coaches eye" in measuring bar velocity and I can't seem to find the one I remember. Thought you might know! Any help appreciated, thanks!
