I just had an experience where I was writing a scene for my fic and I felt really really bad for one of the characters (Chihiro) so I made a note at the bottom promising them ice cream later. Is this a good or bad sign…

I *actually* love programming. Every bit of it. Even when it's "tedious" or "painful." It's problem solving mixed with self expression. If you can't be asked to care about the process of making something, then don't ask me to care about what you "made."

A///I in programming is still bad. It's bad for all the same reasons it's bad in art. You cut out the human in the equation and you make nothing of value. You say you love the craft but you spit on the people that actually do it.
