¿Qué ha cambiado en MLB con el ABS? • Han aumentado las bases por bolas. El porcentaje de boletos subió a 9.4%, el más alto en más de 25 años. • La zona de strike hoy luce más reducida y precisa. Apenas el 47.3% de los pitcheos están entrando en strike. • Los bateadores están siendo mucho más selectivos y pacientes. El swing rate bajó a 46.9%. • El framing de los catchers ha perdido su valor defensivo cayendo cerca de un 20%. • La duración de los juegos ha aumentado entre 4 y 5 minutos. Por ahora, el ABS ha generado un béisbol mucho más consistente, estratégico y medido desde el control de la zona de strike.
