It's better than dealing with other people's shit. A good wilderness vacation is a great personal reset. It's certainly better than going ballistic or postal on the idiots we're surrounded by every minute of the day. And for a hundred or so years, this is how most Americans lived before modern comforts. Besides, survival skills are perishable if you don't keep practiced on them. After 18 years in military service, I don't do this as often as I use to. But doing it on a personal level is so much more comfortable and enjoyable than doing it in the military. And the food is better. Looking forward to one of these excursions this summer. 3 days 2 nights at over 9,000ft elevation for some photography work and a solid reset.

The question is why do you think that? What's the motivation behind that? What does he get in return for his financial investment in you? Also, would you pay for everything for a complete stranger you don't know?
