Analyzing human myocarditis at the tissue transcriptomics levels, with two different platforms, we found that the disease is characterize by widespread molecular perturbations independent of leukocyte-rich foci. Myocarditis is not so patchy after all! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

What a 🌟 star you are, @gab_farrugia – the 2024 winner of the Julie Campbell Student Award at our 2024 Baker Symposium. Winning this prize is a recognition of the tremendous impact you’re having on discovery science. @Alex_R_Pinto @latrobe @CrisdionKrstev1 #cardiacfibrosis

Check out our new work on immune cell lipidomes and ferroptosis! We performed mass spec lipidomics to explore the lipidomes on human and mouse immune cells. @BakerResearchAu An immune cell lipid atlas reveals the basis of susceptibility to ferroptosis biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Thanks for your enthusiasm and open door, @luigiadamomdphd. #BestMentor @hopkinsheart is lucky for the talent you attract and nurture here. "It's all about the love" -- Frederick L. Brancati

And that's a wrap for our Baker Symposium. Fabulous to see a packed room of passionate students and ECS on a ☀️day in Melbourne. Congrats to the recipients of our student & ECS prizes: @CrisdionKrstev1, @Dr_JoshuaWong, @ade_brd85, @YaxingMeng & @Yangsong_Xu. Love your work!

Great to see a large proportion of my PhD studies finally out in press! This was a large collaborative effort that we hope will provide a rudimentary framework for cardiac non-myocytes in the context of type-2 diabetes induced cardiomyopathy. Thanks to all who made this possible

Congratulations @CharlieCohenPhD & all co-authors on this wonderful publication! We now have a better understanding the cardiac landscape using sc-RNA-seq in the diabetic heart! Great work that was a key focus in Charlie’s PhD 🥳👏👏 cell.com/iscience/pdf/S…
