So the Vienna Philharmonic managed to find a piece by a woman that they could include FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER (i.e. since 1939). The waltz - by Constance Geiger - has survived only in a piano transcription. So who did they ask to orchestrate it? Yes: A MAN.

I will be interested to see if the viewing figures for BBC2's Mozart: Rise of a Genius justify the programme's massive budget (on period drama reconstruction and a host of talking head celebs) when, elsewhere on the BBC, arts coverage has been cut to the bone.
