I was very excited to be invited back as an alum to throw out the first pitch at the River Forest Little League Softball All-Star Games. It was great seeing so many talented players and being part of such a fun event. Thank you RFYBS for a great afternoon!

Congrats to sophomore CF @CharlieT2028 who was recently named to the West Suburban Silver All-Conference team. A two-year starter, Charlie had a tremendous Sophomore season and we are excited for her next two years.

Huskies won game 2. It was a comeback win but then had to desperately hold on to survive and advance. 3 doubles by @LEIAHAMMERSCHM1. 4 hits by @lilymaas31. 2 hits each for @JuliaHenderson0 @CharlieT2028 @HarperTravis27 @GeorgiaGodellas @msmithcheetahs. @CRainey2026 with the win and @ZoeD2029 with the clutch save. The Huskies will play game 3 on Tuesday night at Whitney Young, opponent TBD.

Huskies win a share of the conference title by defeating Hinsdale Central 8-1. @CRainey2026 went the distance giving up 1 hit and striking out 5. @SStaszak406 went 4-4 with a 💣. @GeorgiaGodellas had two hits and a 💣. Doubles for @MayaMendell20 and @CharlieT2028. @msmithcheetahs and @LylaAustin_2027 had 2-out RBIs. The Huskies finish the regular season with a 24-11 record and will open the playoffs at home on Tuesday.

The Huskies beat Downers Grove North this morning. Down to our last strike, @LEIAHAMMERSCHM1 drew a two out walk in the top of the 7th. Pinch runner @AlessandraGerut stole 2nd and @CharlieT2028 drove her in with a 2 out single to tie the game and then later scored on a wild pitch to take the lead. @ZoeD2029 came in for the save in the bottom of the 7th. @CRainey2026 earned the win going 6 innings with 6 Ks.

Huskies make it interesting but hold on for a 6-5 victory as @GeorgiaGodellas makes a clutch defensive play to end the game. @CRainey2026 went the distance allowing 4 hits and 0 ERs for the win. Huge day for @MayaMendell20 with 2 💣 and @LEIAHAMMERSCHM1 went 4-4. @CharlieT2028 with 2 RBIs, @lilymaas31 with 2 runs, and @SStaszak406 with an important two out RBI in the top of the 7th. The win improves the Huskies record to 14-5 and 3-0 in conference. The Huskies are on the road again tomorrow morning at Downers South for a 10 am game.

We opened with back-to-back HRs from @MayaMendell20 and @LEIAHAMMERSCHM1. @JuliaHenderson0 hit 2 HRs. @CharlieT2028 went 4-4 with a HR as well. Big games from both @lilymaas31 and @LylaAustin_2027. Finally, great relief pitching from @gchesney26.

The Huskies won tonight 8-7. @ZoeD2029 got out of a jam in the 6th, getting 5 straight outs after a one hour lightning delay to earn the win. @JuliaHenderson0 had a huge night going 3-4 with a 💣 and 4 RBIs. @MayaMendell20 also had 3 hits with a 2B and 3 RBIs. @LEIAHAMMERSCHM1 went 2-3. @lilymaas31 @CharlieT2028 @averylane444 @msmithcheetahs @HarperTravis27 all had hits as well.

Huskies win 17-4. 1st inning 💣 s by @MayaMendell20 (3 hits, 4 RBIs) and @CharlieT2028. CG by @gchesney26 (no ER) in the circle. @averylane444 with 2 H, R, and RBIs. Bella Saylor had a hit, 2 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. Great all around team effort. The Huskies improve to 9-2 and will travel to play Wheaton North tomorrow.

Last week I had the opportunity to complete with @OPRFSoftball in Pigeon Forge, TN where we went 6-0, and I went 8 for 16 at the plate. Thank you to all the parents, coaches, and teammates for a great week. It was exciting to play some talented out of state teams in nice warm weather. Here are a few of my highlights from last week:

Doubles by @msmithcheetahs @HarperTravis27 @JuliaHenderson0 @CharlieT2028 and @lilymaas31. @ZoeD2029 pitched well in her first career start and then got some clutch relief work from @gchesney26 and @ArielleSpurlock (winning pitcher) to improve our record to 2-2.

Freshmen @MayaMendell20 went 4-5 with 3 2Bs, 3 runs, and 2 RBIs. Freshmen @lilymaas31 had 2 2Bs and 2 runs. Freshmen @ZoeD2029 got the win in relief. @LylaAustin_2027 went 2-4 (2B) with 2 RBIs. @GeorgiaGodellas had 2 hits. @CharlieT2028 was on base 3 times and scored each time. @gchesney26 threw 2 shutout innings. @HarperTravis27 made a huge catch in LF to send it to extra innings. The Huskies will begin the thawing out process and play their home opener on Thursday vs Riverside Brookfield.

Had a great time at @TuftsSoftball camp this weekend! I learned a bunch of new hitting and outfielder drills. Thank you @CoachEbs and all the coaches and players for an amazing experience.
