@jeffmont18AA @OfficialRomp The ball was not let go because of the hack by the way. You can believe that if you want but it wasn’t. Embiid is strong enough to hold on to the ball and go through the contact if he really wanted to. There needs to be at least an effort, where there wasn’t here.

@jeffmont18AA @OfficialRomp All those scorers who do similar stuff to Embiid. Brunson, SGA, etc etc they all continue their attempt at making the shot after the contact. They never just let the ball fall to the side like they are indifferent about actually making the shot.

I have officially decided to retire Harper’s road to 500 HR’s tracker I’ve been doing since he hit his 300th HR. His steady decline, injury’s, COVID, strike shorten season and now another looming lockout in 2027, there’s no chance he hits 500 HR in his career. It’s retired folks

@jeffmont18AA @OfficialRomp What are the cons of trying to make the shot anyway. And then what are the cons to what Embiid chose to do? We already saw them play out right in front of our eyes so I think the choice is clear. Yet Embiid doesn’t this sort of play all the time. For NO REASON.

@syntheticnerve @GPhilly120 Lmfao. Where are those 20 coming from in year 6 of that timeline?? No chance his body even holds up that long if his skill set doesn’t diminish to sub 20 hr seasons by that point (which it will). His swing has done too much damage on his back to this point.

@embiid_lover @OfficialRomp It was actually a turnover and the Heat got a basket at the other end from it… If you are relying on Refs to the point you don’t even “try” to make the shot you are supposed to be attempting, then you already lost. Take it out of their hands and make the shot regardless…

@jeffmont18AA @OfficialRomp I will never understand why it’s so difficult for him to just try to shoot the shot regular no matter if there is contact or not. When the downside to this is an easy fast and/or no chance at all of making the shot because you just threw the ball wherever, why keep doing it?

@OfficialRomp It's a foul every single time, not sure get you are looking at. That said, he didn't even argue, he put his head and busted his ass back

@InTheAlleyPod @JoshReynolds24 I have seen the same kind of lethargic energy in both the Mets and end of the DBacks series (won’t even count last years dodgers series since they were so much better than us anyway) when it wasn’t “game fucking 4” so sorry but no. Idc about some early losing but at least fight

@brendystraw @1of1MemGroup @TheRedStripesSG There is a difference tho… Harper can hit .125 or whatever from time to time as long as the hit to make it .125 is a major hit with runners in scoring position or a game changing home run. When Ohtani is rarely struggling he is still doing that and Harper ‘used’ to too.

@1of1MemGroup @TheRedStripesSG Ugh I’m so tired of this ridiculous narrative. One player doesn’t make a team great. It’s can’t be just on Harper. He’s one of the reasons we have even been relevant in the past 5 years.

@InTheAlleyPod @JoshReynolds24 I seriously don’t remember when I watched the Phillies and saw them have and electricity about them and fire to them since that didn’t seem forced or come from guys like Edmundo Sosa from time to time since the Braves series three years ago before they lost to the DBacks…

@InTheAlleyPod @JoshReynolds24 Will they be this bad all season? Obviously not. But the goal is to at least be in the NLCS against the Dodgers. And this team looks like it’s more likely to be in last place in their division by season end than even getting close to losing to the Dodgers in the NLCS. Lifeless

@GinaMuscato The professional baseball players know the strike zone down to the millimeter. That’s why so many of these challenges are going their way. It should not be 50/50 on if the batter or pitcher gets the call they deserve based on how bad the umpire is at their job. End of story.

Unpopular opinion: I understand some ball/strike calls are egregious & the ability to challenge makes sense…but baseball isn’t meant to be so precise that you rely on a box. Grey area around the plate is part of the gm. Otherwise it’s just not baseball. Idk. I’ve mixed feelings.

I doubt he falls to the Sixers but Yaxel Lendeborg would be the perfect fit for them. He’s my dream pick where they will be picking. #Sixers

Worst winners of the premier league if they win it. Horrible team, horrible football. No wonder no one likes them.

@Shoulder_guy47 @LADodgersMuse Completely different because this USA team has the complete opposite of Kobe’s mentality when it comes to the actual game. They only have Kobe mentality when it comes to the antics apparently which just comes off as a dick move when it’s not backed up with any actual fire.

@LADodgersMuse I have to wonder if in the USA dugout , they are having open discussions about how to go out and outdo each other at being entitled pricks because that’s the only thing that makes sense with this team. It’s a joke. Being competitive about everything except the actual game.

@Metfanimid @searlebaseball It should not be difficult for professional athletes who dedicate their lives to the sport to play and perform to their greatest potential every single game no matter who they are playing for or where the game takes place. They play a game for a living. I just don’t understand it

This kind of attitude will be Team USA's downfall. Other countries are treating the tournament with great seriousness and respect and Bryce has the gall to say it doesn't compare to the Olympics. Don't denigrate the tournament you're currently playing in. It's a bad look.
