Further harvesting is now taking place on the Monkey Trail and more sections of the trail are now closed. A signposted diversion is in place. Please do not attempt to ride the closed trails! (Thanks to @ForestryEngland for the photo/diversion map.)

Here's a quick update on the state of the boardwalk on Watch Out Trolls. Do you ride it? Love it / hate it? Or do you prefer the secondary route around it?

Martin was a huge part of Chase Trails since the beginning & was one of the most genuine and kind people you could meet, who almost never missed a build day with us. As always we'd also like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has come along to help build this section.

We're delighted to announce that the new section between Deer Skull and The Original Monkey is officially open! The section is named 'Old Father Time', which has been chosen as a memorial to Martin who we very sadly lost in 2020.

Our new section on The Monkey Trail, "Old Father Time", is now officially open! It bypasses the fireroad, linking Deer Skull and the Original Monkey sections. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out - having been started pre-pandemic, it's been a long time coming!

Today's trailbuilding was up on Lower Cliff. Lots of work to improve drainage throughout so hopefully a lot fewer puddles now as we come into winter. 🥶 🎃 Next trailbuilding session: 30th October. It will be Halloween themed...

UPDATE: Following another email from FE - they've confirmed the closure on the red/blue trails will only be during racing times (these times may change) - approx: Saturday 10:00 – 12:00 13:30 – 17:00 Sunday 09:00 – 11:00 11:30 – 14:00

This is due to the British Cycling Inter Regionals, which takes place over the weekend based at Birches Valley. The Stile Cop closures are due to the return of the Racers Guild Racing series this Sunday, which takes place on Ridge Line. (2/2)

TRAIL CLOSURES THIS WEEKEND - 9th TO 12th SEPTEMBER: • Follow the Dog - PART closure from Friday to Monday. • Perry's Trail (blue route) - FULL closure from Friday to Monday. • Stile Cop - some trails closed on Saturday and Sunday. (1/2)
