Fascinating trip today with the @arts_zk group I’m working with to @NWfilmarchive - from the digitalisation room to the chilly temperature controlled vaults. Lots of inspiration for the oral history & sound art piece we’ll be crafting together.

And breathe.. Our first workshop of Phase 2, the participants enjoyed their first sound walk. Letting go and being at one with the sounds around us. This was an exciting start to this phase. Highlighting that art and wellbeing go hand in hand.

Phase two has now begun for the HAFA (HEALING ARTS FOR ALL) project and we are excited to announce the project title ORAL HISTORIES SOUND PROJECT. We will be delving into what sound is, how we record sound, how we use recording equipment, recording historical stories and editing

We are thrilled to announce creative practitioner for phase 2, Jo Kennedy. Jo will work with Participant’s to collect audio from the former cotton Millhand, relatives and south Asian community to comprehend and document how the mill shaped their day to day lives.
