The food pantry operated by @ChazaqOrg with @MetCouncil makes an impact all year, but its importance is particularly felt during the holidays. I joined them today as they prepped traditional food packages for delivery to needy families for next week’s observance of Rosh Hashanah.

Yesterday, the consulate welcomed members and supporters of @ChazaqOrg , a groundbreaking institution strengthening Jewish identity in Queens and beyond. The group, including founder Yaniv Meirov, was briefed by Consul General @Ofir_Akunis, following his visit to Chazaq’s Queens headquarters. The candid conversation touched on local antisemitism, the return to college campuses and other salient issues.

Amid a heat wave, our members provided public safety, and helped reunited lost children and their parents at the communitywide @ChazaqOrg cultural carnival this past Sunday at Lander College for Men. With several instances of dehydration, it is imperative to always make sure to drink ample water throughout the day, especially when enjoying the outdoors. We thank Rep. @Grace4NY for stopping by, and @JCCGCI, NYC Department of Youth & Community Development, and NYC CM @JimGennaro for their continued partnership.
