🚨 Turkey’s Foreign Minister is rattled over failing to gain access to Somaliland’s strategic coast, so he’s deliberately lying about international law. Meanwhile, Israel is rightfully on the side of international law unlike Turkey. @gidonsaar @somalilandmfa

Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan: - Recognition of Somaliland by Israel is illegitimate and unlawful - We hope problems will be resolved in Syria as soon as possible - Our region needs peace more than ever, and Republic of Türkiye will continue to be guarantor of peace and stability in region

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐡 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠. As a key transit point for smuggling cubs to Gulf pet markets, its authorities—teaming with the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF)—are intercepting and rescuing them left and right. - CRCC in Somaliland now houses **127** cheetahs (all trafficking survivors) as of March 2026. - Recent wins: 11 cubs seized off Berbera coast in 2025 (packed like potato sacks), 10 more confiscated in August 2025. - Latest: Tango (rescued Jan 2026) thriving after rope restraint removal; mortality for new cubs now in single digits (down from >50% pre-2016 laws). - Enforced wildlife laws since 2016 → convictions, coast guard ops, better rehab facilities. While wild cheetahs dwindle, Somaliland's punching way above its weight to stop the trade and give these cats a second chance. 🐆💪 (Props to @CCFCheetah & Somaliland's Ministry of Environment!)

This is propaganda. This message is designed for public consumption not for Israel itself. It places him in the position of an Islamic leader not just a politician.. Erdoğa. doesn’t say how, where, or when Israel will pay for whatever he is accusing them because he does not want to commit to action lol he wants to commit only to a public stance. If you understand this war is based on trade routes then this msg is actually for Saudi “Normalization with Israel = betrayal of these angry millions of Muslims.” Make it hard for Saudi-Israeli normalization, so they won’t be able to establish the IMEC route. He is not defending Muslims, he is defending Turkey’s position in the regional map and the development route with Iraq.

Turkish President Erdogan, in his Eid al-Fitr message: "The Middle East is boiling right now, and as is known, Zionist Israel has killed hundreds of thousands of people. God willing, it will pay the price for this. I have no doubt about that."

Because Saudi hosted the meeting, why would they criticise Israeli actions against Iran? Saudi is not going to call for US–Israeli strikes on Iran to stop. Are you expecting the same public rhetoric that Erdogan uses to be in that meeting? lol
Ragıp Soylu@ragipsoylu

It appears Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria convened in Riyadh to condemn Iran, and they only briefly mentioned about Israel to criticize its actions in Lebanon, not in Tehran.

An insightful read setting out why Greece should recognising the Republic of Somaliland! However, the implications also ring true far beyond Athens as well, as the article notes: “Early recognition would place Greece among the first European states with direct access to a rising global trade gateway.” That logic applies to all forward-looking states. Somaliland offers stability in a volatile region, strategic access to the Red Sea corridor, and a credible democratic partner in the Horn of Africa. Recognition is no longer just principled but it’s also pragmatic.

⛔️ To understand what’s really going on, look at these 2 trade routes. This war isn’t about politics or ideology.. it’s about money & trade. 1.IMEC Corridor (Israel-Saudi Route) Runs from the Mediterranean to India through the Gulf. Supported by the U.S., Israel, and Saudi Arabia (that’s why NEOM is being built). This route avoids Turkey. 2.Turkey-Iraq Development Corridor A $17 billion route connecting Europe to Iraq’s energy through Turkey. Goes through Duhok in Iraqi Kurdistan. Needs stability in Iraq and the Kurds in Erbil to work. Both routes reduce usage of the Suez Canal and which affects….. Egypt. This is why you would understand why both Egypt and Turkey are against this war.. Turkey is scared of the Kurdish threat, they believe the Iranian Kurds are linked to the PKK (The Kurds in Turkey which Erdogan sees as a militia) If Iran collapses, they could cause trouble in northern Iraq, especially Duhok which is the corridor Turkey wants to use to get oil and energy to Europe. So Turkey needs friendly Kurds in Erbil… any chaos in Iran makes that hard. Turkey wants Iran weak so it won’t be able to sell its own oil and gas to Europe (Iran is a very rich country in resources) Turkey wants it isolated and controlled, not completely collapsed so the roads, bridges, and other projects Turkey invested in along the corridor won’t be destroyed by the war. Egypt depends on the canal for trade & money, it doesn’t want Saudi to normalise its relations with Israel because this will minimise their influence and importance. Whether the IMEC corridor (Saudi-Israel) or the Turkey-Iraq development route succeeds, the result is the same for Egypt.. the Suez Canal loses its role as the only major trade path. Iran saw the Saudi-Israel normalization not just as a paper agreement.. but as a logistical revolution (the IMEC route) under a U.S. security umbrella that could make Saudi untouchable. Saudi wanted to use the normalisation as a “bargaining card” with Trump, it wanted mutual defense deal with the US Like NATO’s Article 5.. any attack on Saudi would be treated as an attack on the U.S. also, Saudi wanted the right to enrich uranium inside the Kingdom for civil nuclear deal. This would’ve shifted the regional balance permanently and Iran didn’t want that. So.. this is why 7th of Oct happened.. Iran used Hamas, the Sunni group supported indirectly by Iran to strike Israel at a sensitive moment. Iran knew Israel would respond strongly and will stop the normalisation process btw the two countries. If Saudi normalized relations with Israel while Gaza was under attack, it would appear as a betrayer of the Palestinian cause, threatening its own domestic stability & leadership in the Sunni world. Iran understood Instead of suffering alone under sanctions, it forced Saudi to struggle with its own plans.. including Vision 2030 which rely on regional stability. Normalization with Israel would remove obstacles and turn decades of Arab-Israeli conflict into economic & technological cooperation, helping build projects like NEOM in Saudi. Anyway… Turkey benefited from Hamas because its delaying the Saudi-Israel deal slows IMEC, which sidelines Turkey, giving the Turkey-Iraq development route through Duhok more room to grow. Egypt also benefited because slowing the Saudi-Israel deal keeps the Suez Canal central and maintains Gaza as a geographic buffer, preserving its influence.
