By 2031, it’ll be a Byron-Zilisch-Day-Caruth lineup at HMS. Just a matter of how the rest of the 2020s shake up. Caruth probably is on loan to spire his rookie year come 28-29 window FYI. Most realistic scenario rn is a Larson retirement after 2027 and Zilisch succeeds him

Nobody cared if McDowrll was a lifer. The point is none of these guys are Chase or were at Hendrick. They keep their drivers for their careers

And Ty wasn't even supposed to be in Cup for another couple years until M&M's pulled out.

Bell had just gotten there. So KB was the obvious choice. & Elliott would be Gibbs in this situation. He’s like a son to Jeff, Chad, and Rick

@CanasNathan @DGIveyNASCARFan I agree somewhat with that. I just think Love gets the nod with race wins and a title. Crews (though talented and will for sure get there) needs to at least win an O'Reilly race. I mean he runs off 3 or 4 wins by the end of the year then yes he goes over Love

Even tho Love won the title last year his Xfinity years haven’t been amazing, I think they’ve been mid 🤷🏻♂️

In my opinion there are only 2 guys that look like they could be future Cup guys (longer than 3 years) and that is Love & Heim. Day needs more time but he's talented

Gonna rephrase; 50-50. Larson Cup retirement after 2027 or Elliott bounces from HMS. I can for sure see either scenario. Ya can laugh but it’s likely the truth. One of these has to happen if HMS wants their desired lineup for the 2030s

@Cheddarcob17 @NateDog_51 @jonathanoatess The results are there, so I think it'd be highly unlikely for HMS to show him the door. We don't know the next generation of HMS/Chevy drivers, but the only drivers that'd make sense for them to replace him would be Zilisch/Hocevar, both would be around 30

If he goes that without a title then starts to struggle he may be forced to a satellite team eventually. To your point it’s likely all 3 retire at HMS

There's about a less than 0% chance Chase leaves HMS for anyone, let alone a new manufacturer that just returned to the sport. Byron, Chase and Larson are gonna be HMS til they retire
