Recently, a lot of friends have been asking me: why are we launching a large five-seat version of the NIO ES8? The answer is simple: because our users need it. During our research, we kept hearing the same thing from five-seat SUV users. If the trunk gets a little messy, anyone sitting in the back can see everything the moment they turn around. And when you have friends in the car, it can feel a little awkward. It sounds like a small thing, but over time, those little things start to affect the overall experience. It's not that users don't care about this. The reality is that most five-seat SUVs today don't do a very good job of separating passenger space from storage space. That's the way things are, but it doesn't mean that's the way they should be. So we wanted to redefine what a large five-seat SUV should be. By taking full advantage of our pure electric platform, we designed a space where passenger space is for passengers, and storage space is for storage—truly separating the two. That means you don't have to squeeze everyone in just because you're carrying more stuff. And you don't have to give up comfort to get the storage you need. Tonight at 7:30 PM (UTC+8), we'll officially launch the NIO ES8 five-seater. I'll share more about how we designed the space from the ground up around "passenger-storage separation" and many other thoughtful details at the event. Let's Power Up!
