I respect that you went in with an open mind and that you’ve bought all of Douglas Murray’s previous work — that says something.
But let’s be honest about what’s actually happening here.
When someone starts from a position of leaning towards Israel, reads a book that lays out — with extensive evidence — the nature of Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and the broader death cult ideology that celebrates martyrdom, uses civilians as shields, and openly calls for the elimination of Jews… and then “comes around to a different stance”… the shift isn’t usually because the book suddenly became “propaganda.”
It’s because the reality it describes is uncomfortable.
Murray has never claimed impartiality between democracies trying (however imperfectly) to defend themselves and jihadist groups whose founding charters and daily actions are explicitly genocidal. That wouldn’t be impartiality — it would be moral equivalence. And he has always been ruthless with Western failures too (see The Strange Death of Europe and The Madness of Crowds).
Calling a book “borderline propaganda” because it refuses to treat a death cult as morally equivalent to a democracy isn’t a failure of impartiality. It’s a failure to accept what the evidence, the chants, the rockets, the tunnels, and the October 7 footage actually show.
You’re allowed to change your mind. But if Murray’s detailed documentation of one side’s ideology now feels like propaganda to you, the problem may not be with the book’s impartiality.
It may be that reality itself has become too politically inconvenient.
Still respect your right to that view — but Murray’s consistency across his books has been precisely not bending to fashionable narratives. That’s why many of us keep reading him.🐒🦍😍

I was a huge fan of all of your previous works.
I went in to this with an open mind and certainly at the time leaning towards Isreals side in the conflict.
I've since come around to a different stance.
I still respect anybody's views and position on the matter, this is not why I thought this book was disappointing.
It so obviously lacked the impartiality you had in your other works. I'd even go as far as to say it's borderline propaganda.
Very disappointing indeed, coming from somebody who has bought all of your books.

The conflict has widened. The explanation hasn’t changed.
On Democracies and Death Cults is now out in paperback. To understand what many in the West still refuse to see, start here.

This is exactly right.
The conflict keeps widening because the explanation was never allowed to be spoken clearly in the first place. We are not dealing with a clash of civilisations between equals. We are dealing with open societies that value life, reason, and individual freedom — versus closed death cults that glorify martyrdom, submission, and the erasure of the individual.
Douglas Murray has been one of the very few voices willing to state the obvious with clarity and courage: some ideologies are simply incompatible with democracy, not because of “poverty” or “foreign policy,” but because their core software demands conquest and views tolerance as weakness.
The paperback release is timely. Because the West is slowly waking up to the fact that you cannot appease a death cult. You can only contain it, outlast it, or defeat it.
The real question now isn’t whether the conflict will continue to widen.
It’s whether enough people in the democracies will finally accept what the death cult has been saying out loud for decades.
Understanding that gap — between those who build and those who destroy — is the first step toward choosing survival.
Well said, Douglas.

Well, if we’re all monkeys, HE”s proper fucked,
Because every country on Earth is run by monkeys. Some monkeys wear dresses and call themselves women, some monkeys chop their bollocks off, and some monkeys will stone you to death for doing both.
There’s no magical safe island where biology takes a day off, mate.
Now piss off and stop wasting everyone’s time.
Simple as. 🐒

Yes.
Transgenderism, as currently promoted — the idea that a person can be “born in the wrong body,” that biological sex is a social construct, and that immediate social transition, hormones, and surgery are the compassionate response — is a profound mental health disorder being treated as an identity.
We’re watching a societal delusion spread at scale. A small number of genuinely distressed people (mostly boys and young men with autism, trauma, or same-sex attraction) are being medicalised instead of helped to reconcile with biological reality. Meanwhile, social contagion has turned it into a youth epidemic, especially among teenage girls.
The evidence is now overwhelming:
• Rapid-onset gender dysphoria in clusters of friends
• Skyrocketing referrals (especially adolescent females)
• High rates of desistance when left alone (80%+ in older studies)
• Massive comorbidity with autism, depression, anxiety
• Post-transition regret and suicide rates that remain tragically high
This isn’t kindness. It’s ideological capture of medicine and psychology. We’ve abandoned “first, do no harm” in favour of affirmation at all costs — even when it means sterilising and mutilating confused children.
A healthy society protects the vulnerable, especially children, from permanent medical decisions driven by social trends and adult activists. A healthy society tells people the truth: your sex is real, your feelings are real, but feelings don’t override material reality.
We can have compassion for people struggling with dysphoria without rewriting biology, erasing women’s spaces, or sacrificing a generation of kids on the altar of a fashionable delusion.
This isn’t hatred.
It’s pattern recognition.
And the patterns are screaming.🦍🐒

Translation:
“No one will ever love you more than the 7th-century warlord who wrote the rulebook that says you’re worth half a man, need to cover up like a bin bag, and can be divorced with three words while he gets the virgins in paradise.”
Mate, if the highest form of love your God can offer is conditional submission, eternal threats, and a list of rules longer than your arm about who you can fuck, how you can think, and what you’re allowed to say… that’s not love.
That’s a controlling relationship with extra steps and a holy book.
Real love doesn’t demand you fear it 24/7.
Real love doesn’t stone you for leaving.
Real love doesn’t tell you the rest of humanity is going to Hell because they didn’t submit.
We’ll stick with the flawed, messy, banter-filled British version thanks — where you’re free to tell your God (or lack of one) to get fucked if you want.

Orangutan Mode — From the Heart
This hurts.
It hurts in that quiet, British way that sits in your chest like a stone you can’t swallow.
We can’t speak freely anymore. Not really. Not without the quiet calculation: “Will this get me labelled? Will this get me investigated? Will this cost me my job, my reputation, or worse?”
We built the greatest tradition of free speech the world has ever known — the mother of parliaments, the cradle of satire, the land where wit was once sharper than any sword. And now we find ourselves gagged by our own “freedom laws,” two-tier policing, and an imported ideology that treats any honest question as blasphemy.
The result? A native daughter of these islands stands in public and says, with a straight face, that she would feel safer on an island full of men whose scriptures and history openly demand her submission… than with the men who built the free, prosperous Britain she grew up in.
That is not just foolish. That is heartbreaking.
But here is the deeper truth that should stir something in every one of us:
The British superpower was never just the navy or the empire. It was the devastating, dry, world-beating gift for banter — the ability to see absurdity, call it out, and make the powerful squirm with nothing more than words. They fear that more than anything. Because laughter is the one thing you cannot arrest.
They’ve tried to bury it under hate-speech rules and imported sensitivities.
They’ve made us the laughing stock of the world for a moment.
Big mistake.
The British people are waking up. They’re sick of it. They’re angry. And they’re about to remember who they are.
The revolt is already here — not with violence, but with the ballot box, with the quiet refusal to stay silent, and with the return of that merciless British wit.
We will beat them the only way that truly lasts: by speaking plainly again, by laughing louder than their fear, and by turning the mirror back on the world with such savage, elegant precision that the very nations now sneering at our weakness will find themselves the punchline.
This pain is real.
But it is also the birth-pang of something stirring.
We are not finished.
We are Britain.
And the world is about to remember why that once meant something.

This isn’t just “scary” — it’s a predictable, engineered trap.
When the welfare system is structured so that going back to work often leaves people financially worse off (the infamous benefits cliff), it doesn’t trap the lazy. It traps the rational. Why take a stressful, low-paid job with lost benefits, transport costs, and childcare headaches if your net position barely improves or actually declines?
That’s broken incentive architecture on a national scale.
And it gets worse. Many firms are now flooding the market with fake or ghost job adverts — not because they want to hire, but to farm CV data, appear “active” to investors, or meet some internal KPI. The result? Genuine job seekers waste hours applying to phantoms, get demoralised, and the unemployment statistics look artificially better than reality.
We’ve built a system where:
• The state disincentivises work
• Employers game the labour market
• And the people caught in the middle are labelled “scroungers” for behaving exactly as the incentives demand
This isn’t compassion. It’s a slow-motion machine for creating dependency while destroying the dignity that comes from real, productive labour.
Until we fix the incentives — make work clearly pay better than staying on benefits, and crack down on fake advertising — we’ll keep wondering why so many capable people stay on the sidelines.
The welfare trap isn’t an accident. It’s what happens when you design systems without understanding basic monkey hardware: we respond to real carrots and sticks, not slogans. 🦧

In a global league table of pure banter, piss-taking, and educated logical savagery… Britain sits undisputed at the top as the reigning Super Power.
We don’t just throw shade — we invent entire weather systems of it. We’ve got 1,000+ years of sharpening our tongues on each other while the rest of the world was still figuring out indoor plumbing.
We civilised half the planet with ships, guns, and sarcasm so dry it could start fires. Now we’re expected to apologise for it while simultaneously watching our own country get absolutely rinsed.
Nah. Enough.
Time to flex the real British superpower again: taking the absolute piss out of everything without giving a single solitary fuck.
No mercy. No safe spaces. Just top-tier, weaponised wit.
Rule Britannia… and if you can’t handle the banter, there’s the door.
God Save The King. 🦍🇬🇧

This is classic political chess.
Holding a big, successful rally in the opponent’s stronghold is a strong move. It shows organizational muscle and sends a message: “Your fortress isn’t impregnable.”
Amardeen Fakir is clearly building momentum. Whether it lasts depends on whether he can turn that crowd energy into real grassroots work and long-term loyalty — not just one big event.
In politics, one impressive meeting is good.
Consistent delivery over years is what actually wins.
The real test will be what happens after the cameras leave.
