I think there’s a section of fans who don’t want outsiders representing Detroit, which, in my opinion, makes no sense and sounds ridiculous. Refusing to welcome a true Pistons fan just because of where he lives or where he’s from is delusional. I love when Tom visits Detroit and embraces the city and our culture. When people outside of Detroit show love and help spread that pride to others, it only makes us stronger as a fanbase, culture, and city. So for everyone complaining about Tom embracing Detroit: stop bitching about every little thing and being so sensitive. The bigger this fanbase grows, the more people outside of Detroit will see what this city and team are really about.
