#MEcfs is indiscriminate. It doesn't matter how positive, determined or strong you are. Please support the #MillionsMissing

That's me home now, tucked up in bed listening to birdsong. Utterly exhausted and immensely grateful for all the hard work, compassion and understanding demonstrated by the cardiology team at GRI. I cannot thank them enough.

Yes the science on the seriousness of the long covid crisis is unequivocal - still, crickets. It's important to ask why government is silent but there's a bigger question: Why is medicine silent? Why haven't authoritative medical voices relayed the science to the public, to drs?
Morgan Stephens@morganstephensa

There is economic interest in every facet of not recognizing the vastness and severity of Long Covid. Blood clots, strokes, myocarditis. All results from this virus. How do we know? There plenty of research at this point. Yet, crickets. 🧵 1/6

🗝️Points 🔹Many #LongCovid researchers unaware or ignoring looking at #ME to understand #LongCovid 🔹Poor quality methodology being used in #LC like #ME - lessons not being learnt 🔹HCPs ingnoring or unaware of energy management in #ME 4 #LC 🔹No mixed cohort studies

Important 🧵Peased its being raised in parliament. Yes, #PwME have had their illness dismissed & ridiculed & treatment has been shocking. Our warnings surrounding #LC have gone the same way yet the government continues to choose to ignore & prefers to tell us Covid is over!
Long Covid Advocacy 💙@LongCovidAdvoc

Baroness Scot's powerful speech in the @UKHouseofLords 'Long Covid' debate 🔹#ME has been neglected, dismissed, ridiculed & under researched for far too long 🔹Not a new clinical entity 🔹No diagnostic test for LC or ME 🔹1/4 mill #ME now joined by 2 mill with #LongCovid

AND if they had Long Covid, they were *much* more severely affected. Vaccines have reduced but not eliminated Long Covid - CEV population is at much higher risk from infection both in immediate severity of illness but *also* in long term impacts. 7/15

There are half a million more people not working now than at the end of 2019. The number of people classed as economically inactive because they are long-term sick has reached a record 2.5 million, according to figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

“My life as I knew it is unrecognisable… where is the support from the experts? We are the ill people” This #bbcqt audience member outlines her life-changing experience with long Covid and says she wants to get on with her life but “people are being left with no help”

@bbcquestiontime Govt has been keen to downplay Long Covid from the start. (We’ve seen the same with #MEcfs ) All health measures have been focussed on acute ‘serious’ illness/ hospitalisations but life changing chronic illnesses are equally serious. No support & now no health protections. Crazy

NEW: Sources close to Privileges Committee say evidence is so damning that Boris Johnson could be 'gone by Christmas' if he returns. One Tory MP tells me any attempt to kill the inquiry could 'bring down the govt'. Yet momentum builds behind Johnson. itv.com/news/2022-10-2…

Liz Truss’ leadership style of major U turns seems to be catching on! The fact that MPs are even considering bringing back Boris shows how broken, desperate & lost they are.
