Okay Gen-X’rs I have a question.
When you were in school and you got a report, did your teachers say it was suppose to be X amount of hand written pages? Did they say words? Like “must be 300 words” and you hand wrote it? Did you count word by word when you did?
@thejasonkantor Leave libraries alone. Parents should be signing opt-out slips if they want to micromanage their children in the library, or homeschooling. These people are completely exhausting, and book banning is fascist. I don’t coparent with fascists.
My dad likes to send me teacher memes and inspiration that he finds on Facebook
I really like this one
Where does everyone stand on the banning books debate?
I am so sorry I haven't tweeted in awhile, I have been dealing with some family issues. My dog perked up and was acting almost normal until Friday, then she took a turn. She stopped eating and drinking and couldn't get out of bed. We made the decision to put her to final rest
@thejasonkantor There’s some evidence, but there is also strong evidence that genetics plays a large part. Look at chains/clusters of ADHD in families. Trauma is great at exacerbating what’s already present, for sure.
I have such a small sample size and haven't conducted any legit research but its an interesting "coincidence"
Is there any evidence out there that supports this?
If you know/have any I would love to read it!
Something I have noticed about children who have dyslexia, ADHD and other learning difficulties
They often have had childhood trauma
Most, if not all, of the kids I have worked closely with (100 or so kids) have had some sort of childhood trauma
I absolutely hate that I’m giving this ANY attention, but it just blows my mind how someone has a thought like this, will type it up, and then press send on the internet for everyone to see. It’s bullying, and you should be better.
I feel like we don’t see this often - a current NCAA gymnast posting to alert coaches to their desire to transfer!
This is so cool. Emma Milne, San Jose State bars and beam standout, posted her career-highs and some training clips on Instagram to get the attention of coaches.
