Did you know you can put your dog poo bags in any bin if there isnt a dog poo bin nearby? Leaving dog poo bags like this is littering. Please pick up after your dog and dispose of it correctly. #keepchelmsfordclean

After identifying an area badly littered, signs were erected and enforcement patrols commenced and as a result a fixed penalty notice was served on a gentleman recently for discarding his cigarette butt in the area. @ChelmsCouncil #dontlitter

When the ground is tinder dry, even the smallest of things can cause a huge fire. @SYFR advise: 🔴 Only use BBQs in designated areas 🔴 Take your litter home or put it in the bin! 🔴 Dispose of cigarettes carefully 🔴 No campfires #WeatherReady 5/7

Did you know, dropped cigarettes are the most common form of litter? They contain chemicals that are harmful to nature, and this time of year, camouflaged by crunchy autumn leaves, they can be a fire hazard too. Keep your butt until you find a bin! #BinTheButt #KeepItBinIt
