There’s nothing funny about what’s going on. A generation of people who have lost their 20s to bad governance. Now losing their 30s to worse governance and maladministration. Some stepping into their 40s as refugees in foreign lands (those who could even escape). Restarting their lives all over when they should be consolidating the gains made in their teens and early 20s. Young people now going grey and can’t even start families of their own. The whole thing is a mess. The scariest part? The rot isn’t over. It feels like a bottomless pit. You think it can’t get worse and then a new low is invented. Rice won’t save anyone. Dollar and Naira bills won’t restore time lost. Generations are being ruined and for politicians, it’s just business as usual.
