We had the pleasure of welcoming @WhaleWiseLive in to speak to an enthusiastic group of Year 7 & 8 @ChelseaAcadSci students today. Jess taught us about a range of whales found in our seas. They also learnt about the work scientists, like her, are doing in Iceland to help avoid whales being damaged by fishing nets. A thought-provoking session with quizzes and new facts for all!

48 of our excellent Year 8 @ChelseaAcadSci students were selected to take part in a STEM Epic Engineers workshop yesterday, where they learnt about different pathways into engineering including how to design, model structures and work as a team. Students #flourished in each group and did us so proud. The final challenge saw them create lightweight, strong tunnels for high speed trains, it was great to see all the students enthusiastically taking part. Thanks so much to the excellent @SmallpeiceTrust Ambassador Fred for running the session so smoothly across the whole day

On Monday, a group of @ChelseaAcad6th students took part in an 'Articulation Discovery Day' at the @NAM_London. Part of the #ArticulationPrize run by the @NationalGallery, students are learning to unleash their inner art critic. We are proud to have the support of the @ChelseaAcadFdtn who will be funding @voxpop to provide oracy workshops, the culmination of which is a competition at the Academy where students will deliver a talk on their chosen piece of art.
