This week Jay and Ken speak with an expert in this area - Dr. Chelsea Martin, PT, DPT, SCS, who holds a doctorate in physical therapy and is now working toward her doctorate in epidemiology with a focus on sports injury prevention at the University of North Carolina. Chelsea talks about the epidemic of overuse injuries, the positives and negatives of being a multi-sport athlete, the importance of rest and active recovery for injury prevention and more. She also shares her personal journey as a 3-time softball state champion pitcher in North Carolina and later a pitcher at the University of Louisville.
