Chelsea’s disastrous start to the season is the fault of the sporting directors and the owners.
Instead of showing ambition and strengthening the squad to compete at the top of the league with the best teams in Europe, they wasted another bundle of money in the summer.
Chelsea won’t have the same pull to attract top players the likes of Kudus, Simons, Wharton, Yildiz after this shambles of a season plays out.
How do you have personal terms agreed for two players in Simons and Kudus who have the quality to elevate/ improve the first and team squad depth - then end up allowing them to go to Spurs and wasting £90 million on an unproven Gittens and a player like Garnacho. The £90 million wasted should have been spent on Simons/ Kudus - two top players that actually wanted to play for Chelsea.
The worst thing is that those two players are now unattainable and Spurs are now stronger than Chelsea due to this.
How do you have a player like Guehi available for £35 million and persist with Tosin and Chalobah as starting CB’s.
£1.5 billion and spent and we are pinning our hopes on Pedro Neto, Joao Pedro and an 18 year old in Estevao.
How do you allow two top players to go to 17th Spurs and allow 17th placed Spurs to have a better transfer window than the ‘World Champions’.
Absolutely pathetic and has cost us the season.
