Today we said a ‘Happy Retirement’ to a truly inspiring Gloucestershire @gloshospitals Nurse. @SandraAttwood1 started her career in 1973 as a Cadet Nurse - 48 incredible years of service. We are humbled and grateful for all that you have given. @sue_doheny @CNOEngland

Today we say goodbye to our lovely ED/MIU sister Sarah. She is going off to pastures new after more than a few years with us. Good luck in your role "snuge" we will all miss you. X x x

Emergency Nurse Practitioners Claire and Luis and Senior Sister Becca are all still smiling at our Cheltenham A&E department this afternoon. Both Becca and Claire have worked in the department for 21 years! #AandELive

Sometimes, this weekend, I felt I wasn't seeing enough patients. I saw many people that needed my TIME, and thanks to my amazing team, I was able to give it. It wasn't the stuff of 'ER' or 'casualty' but it was the stuff that's important. Amazing team @gloshospitals Cgh ED 😍❤️

Both our A&Es have had a busy night - although Cheltenham provides a nurse-led service at night from 8pm to 8am, it is still very much an open department and there are patients in majors this morning. We expect a big surge here at Cheltenham after 8am today #AandELive

Our comms team are buddied up with senior staff members in both A&Es today - here's Sarah with Emergency Department Practice Development Nurse Mark, who will be helping us to bring you updates throughout the day #AandELive

We are joining the 8 o'clock calls at both sites this morning so expect detailed updates following these. We know already that it's been a very busy night and lots of factors are putting pressures on beds throughout the hospitals. Much more to come on this later.. #AandELive
