Cheltenham Youth League retweetledi

Following a serious medical incident at a neighbouring tennis club yesterday, kick-off in the match between Chard Town FC and Congresbury was delayed.
A member of the tennis club suffered a cardiac arrest and is currently receiving intensive care at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. Encouragingly, early signs are positive, and our thoughts are with them and their family.
Somerset FA would like to recognise the outstanding actions of young referee Ben Houghton. He responded immediately, administering CPR before the use of a defibrillator, prior to the arrival of emergency services, including both ambulance and air ambulance crews. His quick thinking, composure and respect for the situation were truly commendable and may well have helped save a life.
This incident is a powerful reminder of the vital importance of having defibrillators available at sports facilities, and ensuring individuals are confident in how to use them.
Moments like this put everything into perspective.
