Dear teachers who die on the hill of punitive grading for late work. Are you ever late getting to work? You ok giving up 50% of a pay check because of it? I am not here for this. Find a better way. It is too early for me to be this completely rationally angry.
@mrandrewlindsay Become acquainted with you SLT/BLT and current building and district goals. Host a few virtual meet and greets with parents and other stakeholders am/midday/evening.
I’m taking over as principal of an elementary school in January. What are some helpful resources (online or print) for a first-time principal with several years experience as an AP?
@AfrAmerImages This is true. It is going to take all of us to address the issue. We can’t call out the issues and refuse to be engaged. It is time for each 1 to reach 1,2,3, 10, or more if to change the outcomes for our children. I am calling out all of us to get engaged for change #bethechange
The virus has exposed another weakness within the Black community. Our lack of respect for authority. What can a mayor do if our youth want to party? This lack of respect is also displayed in the classroom.
Today, I caught a ZCMS student showing pride, respect, and good manners in the community! I was so impressed by the character the young man showed I had to share! #D6OnTheMove#lakeviewZD6
Some people may be dismissing you, not giving you credit, trying to make you feel less than. Don’t worry. One day, they’re going to want what you have. God is preparing a table before you in the presence of your enemies.
@ToddWhitaker@rhenson80 I agree! As an early childhood administrator I am supporting my staff in focusing on all aspects of the learning environment including themselves to foster prosocial behavior #pryramidmodel#ZD6OnTheMove
You’re going to become like the people you continually associate with. If they’re not making you better, if they’re not inspiring you, causing you to grow, then you need to make changes.
If you support future academic planning- stop underselling #CommunityCollege! Too many kids have the idea that this is not a worthy option on their path to higher learning. It was my path!!
