@humpy_koneru @davidllada Move the candidates to India, there's time still

After deep reflection, I have taken the difficult decision to withdraw from the FIDE Women’s Candidates Tournament.
No event, no matter how important, can come before personal safety and well-being. Despite the assurances provided, I do not feel fully secure under the current circumstances.
This is a painful but necessary decision, and I stand by it.

@AlphaChessMove @anishgiri Yeah I don't really know why they mention 28th as the starting date while the games begin on the 29th. Why are they counting the day the opening ceremony is taking place?
English

@ChessWithDarren @anishgiri I’m rooting for Naka, and like you, I can’t wait. It feels like time is moving soooooooooooooooooooooooo slow.🥸. Also play starts the 29th. I’ve seen several posts claiming play starts on the 28th, not true ….. opening ceremony is on the 28th play is def on March 29.

@FIDE_chess Question to Hikaru- In case you don't qualify for the World Championship, would this be the last time we see you playing classical chess?

@FIDE_chess Question to Divya-Do you feel your experience of regularly playing in open tournaments against strong 2600+ players help you here and if yes then in what aspects?
English

@FIDE_chess Question to Wei Yi-
Will we a solid Wei Yi or an aggressive one?
English

@FIDE_chess Question to Bluebaum-
Almost everyone is writing you away before the tournament has even begun, does this motivate you to do well and perform better than everyone's expectations proving them wrong?
English

@FIDE_chess Question for Fabi-
Do you feel the pressure to perform well and win the event since almost everyone is considering you a favourite?
English

@FIDE_chess Question for Anish Giri-
Hey Anish, Hope you know me since I interact quite a lot with you. How many different variations of the Najdorf can we expect this candidates from you?😂

The chesscom thing disconnected me and gave me a 0 point bye in round 8 of their event where only 2 places qualify and everyone is within half a point of each other :) my internet didn't drop out, I was active in the play zone and as soon as the break timer ended it auto forfeits me. Pretty sure I'm not the only one affected by this bug too. It doesn't even give a time penalty, just instantly forfeits you.
English

Call me a weirdo, but I feel so proud, having a chess hero of mine even just mention my name when giving an interview.

@chesscom Long haired Gukesh doing it in the first game of the World Championship
English

@chesscom Add 10+2 or 10+3 as one of the major time controls please
English

@anishgiri To be very honest I don't actually think Hikaru can win it. He's not been playing top-tier classical for a long time now. He's not Magnus to come and get things done out of nowhere. Would be happy for him though if he proves me wrong but I don't think he can win
English

Probably taken out of context, but am retweeting anyway 🍿😂😂😂
