I’m not rich but I made money on Bitcoin and crypto in 2021… I paid nearly $100k in federal and state income taxes which is not a trivial amount — my family could have put that money to good use in 2022, the crypto market got wrecked and I lost money the thing is, you pay taxes on every cent of your gains but you can only write off losses up to ~$5,000 per year the system is completely rigged against normal people who play by the rules but I don’t complain about it because I was taught to obey the law and do the right thing but when our corrupt President has the nerve to insinuate that I’m a tax cheat because I invest in crypto, I cannot remain silent exactly how much did Joe Biden’s crackhead son who denies the existence of his illegitimate children pay in federal taxes on the illegal international income that he received from China, Ukraine, and Romania and disbursed to the Biden family through shell companies??? come clean on how you earned your considerable wealth despite having leached off of law-abiding tax payers since 1973 (50 fucking years in government!!!) and then you can comment honest hard-working Americans about whom you know absolutely dick until such time, I don’t care what you have to say

Unfortunately, today we are announcing that Binance will be joining other prominent crypto businesses in proactively withdrawing from the Canadian marketplace. We would like to thank those regulators who worked with us collaboratively to address the needs of Canadian users. Albeit a small market, it held sentimental value for us as the home country of our founder. We had high hopes for the rest of the Canadian blockchain industry. Unfortunately, new guidance related to stablecoins and investor limits provided to crypto exchanges makes the Canada market no longer tenable for Binance at this time. We put off this decision as long as we could to explore other reasonable avenues to protect our Canadian users, but it has become apparent that there are none. Our remaining Canadian users are receiving an email with comprehensive information on how this will impact their accounts going forward. While we do not agree with the new guidance, we hope to continue to engage with Canadian regulators aimed at a thoughtful, comprehensive regulatory framework. We are confident that we will someday return to the market when Canadian users once again have the freedom to access a broader suite of digital assets.
