ESPN sources: Bears Pro Bowl center Drew Dalman has informed the team that he is retiring from the NFL at age 27. Dalman left Stanford in 2021, and after four seasons in Atlanta and one in Chicago, he has made the sudden and surprising decision to retire.

Drew Dalman signed a 3-year, $42M deal with the Bears in March 2025, including $28M guaranteed and a $6M signing bonus.

The scary part is Caleb Williams isn’t all the way there yet. He’s 24 years old in the 1st year of this offense, with further improvements he can make to his accuracy
If he can refine his game even more, he genuinely has top 5 QB potential. The Bears have never had a quarterback like this in their whole history
