@evalization @codeverity It helps a tiny bit if I go and read the scene in the book because then I know what Shane was thinking, but it still hurts. Prob because it takes Ilya so much to open up and he looked SO HURT. Ugh.

i think about this one a lot - shane isn’t normally the one to take control in these situations but he knew ilya needed him in this moment and even though he’s the one comforting ilya i think that’s a real moment of vulnerability. he took a chance in stepping over that line to comfort him and ilya could’ve quite easily pushed him away but shane took the chance anyway because he knew it would be worth it if he could make ilya feel better

@ChevyStevens Hitchhikers was far above what I expected. It was a zipline that started fast and picked up steam. Non stop energy. The ending was such a change and so sweet that it brought tears to my eyes. Another fabulous book by an extremely talented writer. Thank you so much.
