@dove_from_above I was referring to GS’s conservative approach (not using Wharton this tournament an example). But now you mention it,his subs, or lack of, have always been an issue - reactive and rarely pro active, waiting for the dying embers of the game 🤓

@Chevychased Come on. You can’t give Southgate grief for not using his subs. He used his squad massively. You can’t give 26 players loads of minutes. To say ‘-‘ absence of Wharton’ was the issue is a stretch.

@Imy_mac @AlexiLalas Not true. At junior level you can join thousands of clubs across England and not pay fees for coaching/equipment. Mostly all coaches are volunteers/parents, and part of the community. There’s no reason it should be an expensive sport.

@AlexiLalas They have to pay to play in Europe, it's just on the back end with transfer fees. Both have negatives and positives let's not lie and say people out here give away free sandwiches.

Sure. Pay to play is not ruining youth soccer. Millions benefit. It's a business catering to a market willing to pay for the product. Soccer (like piano lessons) is not an inalienable right. Free soccer costs money. Someone has to pay. So who will pay for all this free soccer?

I was at the Rovers Chelsea league cup game last season and AW was only matched by Palmer. But I get you!

Duff had loads of experience in the prem if my memory serves correctly. Not saying it's right. Many people prefer off-the-shelf arguments to the evidence of their own eyes.

Foden, senza fare paragoni, lo vedo un po' più vario. Però quella mattonella la padroneggia 🤩
