The $$$ was always secondary for me. Independence is a cheat code to a new constitution, true human rights & cuts off funding to an evil govt, doing evil things. Independence will benefit all of Canada, forcing Ottawa to develop resources to survive.

Mark Carney has won a majority Liberal government tonight. The Liberals needed just one victory out of 3 by-elections. They easily won the two Toronto ridings, and are currently leading in Terrebonne in Quebec, in a close race with the Bloc Québécois. Conservative numbers are way down from the 2025 general election.

His opinion doesn’t matter Jon .. he’s not Albertan . It’s time we start focusing on Alberta Independence rather than trying to change Canadian mind .. most of you spineless cowards would rather let other peoples negative options drag you down because your situation isn’t bad yet enough.

Another strong conversation in Red Deer was with a supporter who put his finger on something important: for a lot of Albertans, this is no longer mainly about oil or even economics. It is about freedom, rights, and whether Alberta still has a future inside a country that no longer feels like the one people grew up loving. He says it directly: this is not the Canada he fell in love with, and more and more people feel the same way. What makes this exchange significant is that it shows how the movement is maturing. It starts with the visible size of the line, the honking, and the energy on the street, but very quickly the conversation goes deeper. He argues that if people really understood what Ottawa is doing, they would be all over this. That is a revealing point because it frames Alberta independence not as some fringe impulse, but as a conclusion people arrive at once they stop assuming Canada still operates on the values it claims to stand for. We then get into one of the deepest issues of all: rights. He makes the argument that Canadians are taught to think they have rights, but in practice many of those rights function more like privileges that can be overridden. I respond by pointing to the first clause of the Charter and the broader constitutional problem that Canadians often speak as if they have American-style guarantees when they do not. That matters because once people conclude their freedoms are conditional, they stop thinking only in economic terms and start thinking civilizationally. What kind of country do we actually live in, and what kind of country do we want to build? He also makes a crucial point when he says this has gone way beyond oil and pipelines. He brings up unfair representation, the treatment of Alberta, and the feeling that the system has never really been fair to this province, only now it is being said openly and to our faces. That is one of the reasons the independence argument is broadening. It is no longer just resource frustration. It is about political dignity, democratic legitimacy, and whether Alberta is treated as a partner or as a region to be used. And the ending says a lot too. He brings it back to the kids, to affordability, to family formation, and to the people who are hurting the most. That is the deeper moral force behind this movement. For many supporters, Alberta independence is not mainly about anger. It is about creating a future where the next generation can still afford a home, raise a family, and live with real freedom and real opportunity.

The fertility rate of employed conservative women is, on average, 1.39. Liberal women? Only .7 Reminder: the U.S replacement rate is 2.1 Further proving my point— the future of western civilization is screwed if we don’t take appealing to female voters seriously.

Liberal women just have careers instead of kids? Employed women only. Full-time or part-time. Ages 25-35 mean kids. 2020s: Con 1.39 vs Lib 0.70

Alberta doesn't have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem. Alberta’s recent fiscal deterioration ($9.4 billion deficit) underscores a longstanding problem in the management of our provincial finances. Edmonton tends to increase spending during periods of relatively high resource revenue, which leads to permanently high spending levels that are no longer sustainable without incurring deficits when relatively high resource revenue declines. In short, Alberta’s fiscal problems are rooted in spending, and the solution lies in renewed restraint and reform, as demonstrated during the Klein era. Smith needs to cut 10% from her budget immediately.

Today, Canadians watch helplessly as a man who was never elected as a member of parliament, was not a Canadian resident, and who had no relationship to Canadians prior to being (s)elected as Prime Minister steals an unelected majority Liberal government. The irony of some falsely accusing the Freedom Convoy of trying to overthrow the government. What do you think is happening??!? @ChrisBarber1975 @TomMarazzo

For everyone who thinks Alberta can simply vote to leave Canada and take the oil with them, it doesn’t work like that. A referendum does not automatically achieve independence. Under Canadian constitutional law, informed by the Supreme Court of Canada’s 1998 Reference re Secession of Quebec and the federal Clarity Act (2000): • Unilateral secession is illegal. Alberta cannot simply declare independence. • A “clear question” (the proposed wording aims to meet this) and a “clear majority” (not precisely defined, but the House of Commons would assess factors like the size of the yes vote, turnout, and overall circumstances) would create a reciprocal obligation for the federal government, other provinces, and relevant parties (including Indigenous nations) to negotiate in good faith on potential constitutional changes to allow secession. • Negotiations would cover complex issues: division of national debt, borders, currency, trade agreements, military/NORAD/NATO membership, pensions (CPP/OAS), equalization, Indigenous treaty rights (Treaties 6, 7, 8 cover much of Alberta), environmental obligations, and more. These would require a constitutional amendment approved under Canada’s amending formula (typically involving Parliament and at least seven provinces representing 50% of the population). • First Nations groups have launched court challenges arguing that the petition and referendum process violates treaty rights and the duty to consult, potentially delaying or blocking certification of signatures. In short, even a strong yes vote would start a long, uncertain, multilateral negotiation process—not an immediate exit. Failure to reach agreement could leave the status quo or lead to prolonged uncertainty.

I definitely wouldn’t want you to manage my private equity.. female feminists in politics, education and every other sector , especially the public sector have been destroyed by females . You stupid fucking morons that will ruin the new independent Alberta because you’re all so fucking woke and weak to point out the truth by stating that western females have not been having enough babies , but instead have abortions for 4 decades now, and have no choice but to import immigrants and replace our entire fucking country .

Mass migration has been a complete and utter failure. And the majority knows it. Our province has been flooded with third world immigrants who use up services without paying into them. If Alberta separates, it should expel all PR’s and TFW’s back to their county of origin or Canada.

Calgary Mayor Jeromy Farkas came out with some pretty strong words against Alberta separation, and in favour of immigration. When I listen to his speech, I actually hear the opposite. He gives great reasons for independence.
