Trump may not know it while playing golf with his billionaire friends, but millions of unemployed Americans are now going hungry and facing evictions. If the GOP can provide $1 trillion in tax breaks for the rich, they can support a $600 supplement for unemployment insurance.

People are at their wits' end. They are wondering how they are going to feed their families while Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans have done nothing for two and a half months.

Democrats in the House passed legislation to address the unemployment crisis two months ago. But Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans have done nothing. Millions of people cannot wait. The time to act is now.

The clock is ticking. While the economy tanks, some 30 million workers are losing their $600 a week unemployment supplement. Their families are facing hunger, eviction and foreclosure. The House has acted. The Senate must act NOW.

Senate Republicans will propose a bill to slash unemployment benefits, increase the Pentagon budget and provide another tax break to CEOs. Unacceptable. We need a COVID-19 relief bill that works for the working class and the most vulnerable, not wealthy campaign contributors.

At a time when 30 million workers have lost jobs and tens of millions are food insecure and face eviction, the Senate must pass a bill this week to extend current unemployment benefits, expand Medicare to all and provide $2,000 a month to the working-class until the crisis ends.

There will be unemployment extension of the $600 and a stimulus of $1200 but they will pass both bills around the 23rd of July. Even though the Senate doesn't want to they really don't have a choice no one wants a Depression

Rent is due for millions today, at a time when more than 45 million Americans have filed for unemployment. We need to suspend rent and mortgage payments nationwide. We also must extend the $600/week expansion of unemployment benefits, which expires at the end of the month.

This crisis is far from over. We absolutely must extend the $600 a week in expanded unemployment benefits that expires in July. We cannot slash the incomes of millions of Americans by 50, 60, even 70 percent while the pandemic is still raging.
