@Babalouda He also finished the game. You don’t make a decision based on if you think someone will need an x-ray. Player clears the ball before any contact with Bucha

I’ve seen some bad calls in my life but that PK call is right up there with the worst. In a world where there is VAR I don’t understand how that call stands. But at the end of the day, if we score our own penalty we’re not in that situation. Fire unlocked a new way to lose #cf97

In the official MLS match highlight video of tonight’s game, the replay of the D’Avilla tackle is edited out #cf97

My wife is from the Cincy area and is an FCC fan. I have yet to see the Fire beat Cincinnati IN PERSON…only time they’ve won at home was during COVID. Saw them lose twice on the road in Cincy (incl. once in Open Cup loss when CIN was USL). Please let today be the day #cf97

Despite the frustrating result, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that Borso had a really nice game at RB last night #cf97

STL had no business being in that game. Coaching staff and players got way too casual/complacent after going ahead. One bad giveaway at the back and it all unraveled. Extremely frustrating way to go out despite being the clear better side #cf97

Not much to unpack with that one. We’re a good team. Kansas City will likely get the wooden spoon. On to Wednesday for the Open Cup #cf97

Need to see a good shift from Waterman today. Have to be able to rely on him when inevitable lineup rotations become more frequent as the season wears on #cf97

Post match #cf97 thoughts @ Cincy: -stopped playing after our 3rd goal and got really sloppy on the ball…lucky to have not lost the game -waited too long to make changes -Waterman rough shift off the bench -had some great attacking sequences in 1st half, great to have Hugo back

Open Cup is all about survive and advance especially when playing away to a lower division side. It’s one of their biggest (sometimes THE biggest) game of their season. Job done. Shoutout to Shook for the brace #cf97

Detroit not a team to be taken likely especially at Keyworth where they’ll have a rowdy atmosphere and play on turf. Detroit with only one loss in 7 matches in all competitions so far this year and 5 clean sheets #cf97

Quick turnaround w/ Open Cup tomorrow in Detroit. Would like to see a strong side while still rotating some guys on heavy legs. Waterman, Dean, Radojevic, Oregel, Puso, Pineda come to mind. Maybe Cohen in goal. 5 wins from a trophy. Would like to see the club go for it #cf97

@ChiFireSocTalk I like a player that is unhappy to come off. It means that player wants to continue competing

Another observation from last night: D’Avilla was not happy to be taken off. Didn’t shake Gregg’s hand upon coming off…was immediately grabbed by the arm and spoken to briefly by Gregg & the staff. Not a good look from a player who didn’t have his best game #cf97
